The coin’s reverse depicts an owl wearing a mortar board mid-flight with a scroll in its talons and five mortar boards in the background. The design includes the inscription CONGRATULATIONS, and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date, and the monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse.
Each coin is packaged in a special illustrated card displaying the coin’s reverse and with space to write a message.
